Hard drive data recovery from Factory Reset

Factory reset commands aren’t just for mobile phones, they can also be completed on hard disk drives, and the result is that the files and data that was on the hard drive disappears so that new data can be loaded. Sometimes though, factory reset commands are done in error and a data recovery procedure becomes necessary to extract the old data from the hard drive. If this data extraction is possible of not depends on many factors, sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. In the UK, data recovery companies like Data Clinic (https://www.dataclinic.co.uk/) are experts in recovering lost files and data.

reset and factory reset“My daughters laptop stopped working so a friend of mine managed to reset it to factory settings. As a result all her videos and photos are gone. Is there any way you would be able to retrieve them, keeping the laptop working as it is now? If you need to know I am in the Headingley area of Leeds.”

“External hard drive Buffalo HD-HB250U2.
Worked last time used but now. Visible as drive but could not open ‘without formatting’
Contains all family and baby photos from clinic so I’m really rather keen to get it retrieved! I did a factory reset to try and get the data back but it doesn’t appear to have worked”

“Someone has wiped the hard drive on my laptop by executing a factory reset command, and I need to recover my pictures and work docs. I’ve tried using easeus but it hasn’t recovered everything.”

WD Passport Hard Drives have stopped working

When a hard drive breaks down we often need to get the files off the hard drive, but if the hard drive is no longer working how do we do it?? The answer is to go to sites that can tell us what to do and offer good data recovery advice – one that we recommend i Recover Deleted Data at http://www.recover-deleted-data.co.uk/

Data recovery software to recover files:
I recently stupidly quick formatted my external HDD WD My Book 1TB (about 800GB of Data). I’ve tried to recover my files using Remo Recover and restored a large amount of them but they are all corrupt and unreadable. I wondered if in doing this i’ve screwed my chances of getting the data because the “recovered” files were saved back onto the same drive so has that killed their “ghost” files? is there a possibility of still retrieving my files?

Leeds HDD that has been to a data recovery company: 2.5’’ WD 500GB, WD5000LPVX-75X0TT0. I have this diagnosis already: ‘storage medium has damaged reading heads and the recording surface of the plate’ I need to recover about 5 folders from desktop. Not a big amount of files but ones which will cause me to have to work all weekend if I don’t get them back.
I live in Harrogate near Leeds and am coming into Leeds city centre at the weekend. I can get close to Gelderd Road.

This enquiry describes a motor problem with the hard drive: I’ve a WD passport that won’t open and I’d like you to retrieve all the data off it so I can continue to use the data. I have a new hard drive that it can all go on. Portable External HDD (Western Digital 500gb) , which has stopped reading. Motor still spinning, but not responding.

London – This one describes and electrical HDD fault: Dead HDD. I have replaced the PCB, and the drive spins, so I want to move the BIOS from one PCB to another (I have numerous PCBs), but my soldering skills aren’t up to the task. Can you move the BIOS from one PCB to another? I live in Hammersmith, so its easy for me to get to your Chiswick premises, or any general London address.

WD drive with bad sectors?: Transferred work from an external hard drive that seemed to be having issues connecting all the time onto a new western digital hard drive. I did this by cutting and pasting everything onto the seagate hard drive. I plugged into laptop and tried several others and it wasn’t registering with any of the computers. The tech guy at work looked at it and said there was an issue. He tried ornament in severs computers and then suggested taking it apart and trying to reinstall it. This was unsuccessful and that it was completely useless. now I have a faulty hard drive that has been taken apart and all
Of my work is on it and he other hard drive is empty. Is there any way to resolve and recovering my work?

Beeping hard drive – therefore broken motor: My external hdd WD Passport fall on the wooden floor from approx 2m by accident. When connected into usb port, start beeping couple times and nothing recognised. I guess there is some problem with reading head inside or rotor. Could you pls make me data recovery? Not all, just some sensitive data ( I will specify path to important folders later).

Recover Deleted Data’s file retrieval service is available throughout the UK, including in Harrogate, Leeds and Chiswick, London.
